About this farm stay rental
Tivauche is a beautifully restored farmhouse which sits on the edge of a sleepy hamlet with fine views over the Auxois countryside. Vast open-plan living area with comfortable armchairs around old stone fireplace, dining area, well equipped kitchen & french doors leading onto the patio & garden. Spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. All linen and towels provided with beds made up. Nearby towns of Epoisses & Semur-en-Auxois provide plenty of choice for bars, restaurants & shops. Superb walking & biking; visits to historical sites (Cistercian Fontenay abbey, Vézelay basilica); Chateaux (Epoisses, Bussy Rabutin, Ancy le Franc); Medieval towns (Flavigny sur Ozerain, Noyers sur Serein) ; Markets (Dijon, Chablis, Avallon, Montbard); Lac du Pont (ideal for watersports); Morvan National Park , Golf & Tennis nearby.
5 hour drive from Calais or Zeebrugge. 1 hour TGV train to Paris or Euro Disney direct.

All of our day trips have been great - Vezelay was our favourite, but the best part of our trip has been coming 'home' to this amazing gite, sitting outside with a glass of wine, enjoying the beautiful view. Scott & Christine, Georgia. - One of our best holidays ever. We could easily have stayed longer; there is so much to see. Andrew & Susanne, Surrey. - We have rented many gites across France, this being our first visit to Burgundy. The Farm house was comfortable and well appointed and decorated. It was16 degrees when we arrived and the Owner suggested we use the open fire which was very nice. Eventually we asked them to turn on the heating as the cold persisted.
We had a very comfortable stay in an interesting and beautiful part of France. The peace and quiet, apart from the occasional happy dogs, was lovely.
Fully recommend the House and the area.

A wonderful break in a lovely, well maintained property. We were made to feel very welcome by Bill and Jenny throughout our stay.

The house is situated in an agricultural area.
The photograph gives the impression that it is a stand alone location, but the house makes part of a series of 3 clustered houses.
It is a beautiful, silent area and the only thong you hear are cows or sheep.
The house was clean and well equipped and it was a perfect place to stay with two couples ( early seventies ).
Unfortunately the weather extremely bad and very wet !!
One of the mornings my wife went done to empty the dishwasher, but on the floor was 1 cm. water. The heavy rain found its way into the house through the from door.
The carper was soaked and we had job to make it dry.
The open fire was lovely, but two days later just before dinner we received a second "gift " from heaven and the fight with water started again. We had help from Jenny ( Bill was om a trip ) and we survived. We think that a drainage pipe before the door is essential.
Despite the weather, we had a good time there.

Enjoyed greatly our stay in Tivauche, the house is perfect leaving nothing to desire. Spotlessly clean, large comfortable rooms with a beautiful garden, quiet.
All amenities are there, absolutely wonderful.
Will be returning - thanks so much for making this holiday so memorable.
