Château de Nazelles Amboise

An absolutely magical place! This property has a beautiful, intimate boutique-style feel that really makes it stand out. Our room was excellent—very comfortable, beautifully appointed, and full of character. The greens surrounding the place are wonderful!! What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the warm hospitality and the personal touch from the hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and well taken care of during our time in the Loire Valley. Even before reaching there, I had shot down quite a few mails, asking for suggestions and help. Every mail of mine was answered promptly, and the team provided excellent insights and inputs for every query of mine. Thank you Veronique and Eve for everything!! If you are looking for a unique, peaceful getaway with exceptional, personalized service, this is exactly the place to stay. Highly recommended!

If I had to nit-pick, I’d say that breakfast should ideally be included in the package, which currently is on a chargeable basis.

Stunning old country manor ideally situated about a 9min drive from Amboise and ideally located for visiting nearby chateaux’s

The chateau was lovely, set in to the hillside overlooking a river. The room was very pretty - typically french with a lovely window and beautiful views. We didn't use the downstairs sitting room but it looked lovely and comfortable.

We liked everything but felt a couple of things were missing. There was only a solid shampoo bar - no conditioner or shower gel which was disappointing. There was only one waste bin and I felt we really needed one in the bathroom - not just outside the door. The linens on the the bed (Very comfortable!) were lovely but the pillowcases were a bit stained in places which was just a little off putting!

The property is absolutely unique, and the room was beautifully appointed.

The access to the property is a little tight for drivers inexperienced in French driving conditions.
