It was a cosy historic property in a lovely little town. Parking was easy and free just around the corner. Lovely view of river from our room

The room was much larger than expected and was comfortably furnished. The large flat screen TV with access to BBC news was an unexpected bonus. The accessible shower was also large and very functional.
The central location is lovely but the parking 50 - 100m away from the hotel was difficult on several levels. We were assured that it was secure and surveillance cameras were evident. The parking bays were narrow and in short supply when we arrived. However, this situation changed after 17:00.

We had a very warm welcome from the staff and our room was warm, cosy and comfortable (we visited it January). The food in the restaurant was superb in the evening and the breakfast next morning just as good!
The hotel is in a great location by the river and is convenient for the old town; there is parking for the car close by.

This is an individual and interesting hotel, with kind and with kind and professional staff, with an attractive restaurant by the river Indre.
The 'new' chef did not provide the quality of cuisine which has made the restaurant so attractive. The 'amuse bouche' did not amuse and the entree and main course, whilst well presented, lacked flavour and balance.
