About this villa rental
This is our much loved villa which friends have described as our 'little piece of heaven' which we have restored and furnished in Provencal style for easy living.
The Villa is not overlooked and is very peaceful. It is ideal for one family, or two sharing, or just a couple who want the space and a good sized pool.
The two spacious main bedrooms each have Shower en-suites, with large double king sized beds each 160 x 200. The other spacious two bedrooms each have two full sized single beds.
The large swimming pool is 10m long x 4.5m wide. It is fully tiled and heated. We normally open the pool and put the heating on so it can be used from mid April to mid October but do check with us if out of season.
We have 8 loungers around the pool so there is one for everyone.
There are two large tables outside each with chairs for up to 8 people where you can eat. One overlooks a stunning view and the other is under a wisteria clad arbre which give plenty of shade so ideal for breakfast and lunch. The main terrace is well shaded as well including from two mulberry trees.
There are comfortable outside settees and chairs with cushions so you can relax during the day and enjoy aperitifs in the evening. We have a large Gas BBQ. There is a table tennis table where you can play under a covered abris.
St Antonin village is a 10 minute walk away and has a hairdresser, an outstanding Boulangerie, a restaurant with adjoining Bar, local vineyards where you can buy wine, tennis and basketball courts and an excellent shop for groceries and necessities.
Organic vegetables are grown in a field just down the lane a few minutes walk away and are sold in the St Antonin and Lorgues markets but also direct to the public on Saturday mornings.

This was our second visit to La Gaillardiere and it doesn't disappoint. Four bedrooms (two en-suite) lends itself to larger families or two-family holidays. Bedding and towels are changed on a weekly basis and even the wonderful pool is cleaned weekly. The owner is a terrific host and nothing is too much trouble. This property comes highly recommended by us.

We had a fantastic week at this secluded and peaceful house with a lovely pool and perfect views. We were a family of 5 and the house was very spacious allowing each child to have their own bedroom. It was well equipped with everything you could possibly need and communication with the owners was absolutely brilliant. Lots of local markets to visit, the river a stones throw away with paddle board, kayak and bike hire, the local Boulangerie and shop very close, larger supermarkets also nearby.We had a very relaxing week, lounging by the pool, bbq-ing, visiting the local markets, having fun on the river, playing table tennis at the house and exploring the local area. Would definitely recommend.

I have just returned from a week at La Gaillardiere with my husband and 3 children. We spent days exploring the nearby mountain villages, The Gorge Du Verdon and The French Riviera. The Tuesday market in nearby Lorgues is a must. The villa is tucked away in a small village making a car essential for exploring the region. The village itself does have a well stocked shop, about a 15 minute walk away. We flew into Lyon, as the flights were far cheaper than flying into Nice or Marseille - the drive was under 4 hours to the house and very easy one. On arrival the house was clean, stocked with some essentials and the pool was warm. The kitchen had all the equipment that we needed and the BBQ is a good size with lots of space for dining al fresco. The bathrooms and beds etc were all 5 star. As a family, we benefited from the 2 living rooms.Kevin was very helpful with the few questions that we had before and during our stay. I would not hesitate to recommend this villa to family and friends and would give it 6 stars if I could!
