About this villa rental
The villa is secluded, built on a private property. Outside, a swimming pool ideal for dives and a barbecue with a covered pergola for alfresco dining, allow full enjoyment of the rural setting and the panoramic view. The trim garden is full of trees and colorful flowers.
The villa is built on three floors. The main entrance is on the middle floor, which comprises the living room, with the modern furniture and the fireplace, the fully equipped kitchen, the dining area and a bathroom. A French door opens to the terrace with the pool and the BBQ area. On the upper floor there are one twin and one double bedroom with en-suite bathrooms and a cute corner with a table and a chair. Both bedrooms have private balconies with view to the pool, the groves, and the blue Cretan Sea. From the living room, stairs lead to the lower floor, where a cosy sitting room and a twin bedroom are found. The bedroom has a window and a door that opens to the garden. Next to the door, stairs lead to the pool.
Villa Danae is located in Kontomari, 5min from Maleme. A pretty country track wanders gently upwards through ancient olive groves until it reaches the villa, which enjoys breathtaking view over the coastline from Kolimbari in the west to the Akrotiri peninsular in the east. Although modern, Danae has a decidedly rural, well-established feel; its earth and ochre colours let it blend into the Cretan countryside. Inside, the decoration is based on natural textures and colours, with wooden ceilings and stone floors. Villa Danae is very comfortable with a very high standard of modern amenities.

We were after a secluded villa so we can be at peace with privacy- the villa is perfect for this and the host Kiriakos met us in the early hours to personally take us to the villa - we were then left alone entirely which was perfectPlatanias is 10-15min drive away and a big long strip of restaurants and gift shopsTo the left is a lovely small village called Kolymvari which is extremely pretty and quiet to have dinner

A superb Villa - Owner met and led us which was needed as nestled within the olive groves we would have never found it. This was all you need, without the need to leave, the location was fantastic, quiet, views amazing and everything close by. We did leave To explore but what a great place to explore from... thank you
