Only 3 minutes by car down to the lake, restaurants, bars and shops. The living room opens onto the private patio and garden where you can enjoy beautiful views overlooking the lake. The apartment is situated in an a quiet elevated position that catches the sun for most of the day and being on a no through road there is little passing traffic. In the village (500 metres away) you will find restaurants, mini market, butcher, bakery, bank and superb wine bar and other local amenities .The position of this apartment is ideal for those who seek tranquillity and also for those who seek fun and excitement. The only island on Lake Como (visible from the apartment garden) is a very short boat ride from Sala Comacina’s beautiful Piazza. The town of Lenno is a 5 minute drive away where there is a larger supermarket, numerous lakeside restaurants, a Lido with a sandy beach / beach-bar and the unforgettable Villa Balbianello.
Ferries reaching many towns up and down Lake Como depart from Lenno and Argegno (both 5 minutes away either side of the village) in addition to some limited
departures from the village itself and also from the island. From Sala Comacina you can follow the lovely lakeside walk (Greenway del Lago) in addition to accessing many walks from other lakeside villages. In the hills behind the apartment there are wonderful alpine walks where you can buy freshly made cheeses from the ‘Alpe’ farmers. This locality will allow you spectacular elevated views of Lake Como and Lake Lugano.
