almost everything about this hotel was perfect specially the staff.
Small things to mention to those concerned :
• breakfast timing end at 9:15 , it should be extended at least one or two hours more.
• City Center is around 40min walking if you don’t have car.

We were here in the early part of summer 2025, but realised that it was difficult to find a good B&B that took in young children, had a good view of Loch Linnhe with less restrictive booking conditions, eg some B&B only accepted reservations in even number of nights.
When we first saw Clan Macduff we were a little skeptical of what looked very much like a motel.
But we were immediately greeted with 1) spacious parking, 2) warm reception (and a place for a warm dinner on a cold, rainy summer day), 3) step-free access to our room on the first day of arrival.
This was the only place of accommodation that we had breakfast - with a curated selection of high quality food - every morning, woke up to a gorgeous view of the lake and the mountain range, and always felt welcomed whenever we passed by the reception. The restaurant also served a wide enough range of food that we had two dinners there. All our meals were more than satisfactory - no over-the-top food and each dish was executed well.
The room was alright with a good enough shower with good water pressure and water heater. We could also shift the furniture around to accommodate a queen for us and a single for our young one.
As it turned out, it was also a blessing to be near enough but not right in Fort William town as we encountered two occasions of bad traffic when in town.
Not a luxury hotel (they never claimed to be one) but a place you could call home for a few days and very welcoming for a family with a young child(ren).
