Great pool area for adults and children, a rubberised water slide and fountain area that kept our young children occupied for hours! Plenty of sunbeds available. The grounds appear well maintained, some lovely flowers, overall was a peaceful environment. The lunch menu at the pool area was reasonably priced, good sized tasty pizza for €5. We didnt try the restaurant for an evening meal, the €1.90 pastries for breakfast were nice. The shop is decent for a campsite though would have been good to sell more fresh meat. The return shuttle bus to venice was €20 for the 4 of us, took approx 20 mins. You can get the local bus for cheaper but its approx 10-15 minute walk to the bus stop so it was more convenient for us to get the shuttle. Marghera has a good cheap pizza place called Pizzeria 041 a 10 min walk from the campsite and we had amazing deserts and ice cream from Gelateria EtaBeta further along the road.
We would have given a higher rating if it wasn't for the dated and unclean chalet/cabin. We booked one of the cheaper ones (Stay easy XL) so we were not expecting luxury, however, upon arrival we were very disappointed with the standard of hygiene with evidence of the previous guests obvious, we took photos and the reception staff kindly moved us to alternative accommodation. It was immediately obvious that this one had been cleaned adequately. However, the cabin is in need of an update, it reminded me of a caravan from the 90s. Furthermore, it lacked basic amenities you would expect, no kettle or toaster, the width of the curtains were too short so if we were getting changed we had to ensure we stood on the other side of the room, sleeping - had to pull them to the other side, the windows dont lock so pointless locking the front door (though there was a working safe) yet I was mindful that the children were sleeping in a separate bedroom with a window in the room, the showers didnt maintain temperature they were either too hot or cold so we used the shower block for the campers (which was lovely and the best campsite shower/toilet block I've seen), the kitchen sink didnt have a plug. We didnt raise these points as I was apprehensive about complaining for a second time but we were approached by someone from customer services gathering feedback from guests by the pool and mentioned it at this point. The premium accommodations appear more updated from the outside but we didnt see inside.
