Return visits to this friendly, nicely-priced hotel are always a pleasure. Easy to find and a good walk to the centre or a 20min walk to a great little shopping centre.

The staff were all excellent, friendly, helpful and a real pleasure to deal with. The owners of the hotel should be extremely proud of their staff, they turn a fairly normal hotel into somewhere memorable.
The breakfast, though basic, was excellent.
The bed was huge and comfortable.
The location was walking distance to the Caen memorial museum (which gives a good overall view of the war, but isn’t particularly Caen centric) and well connected to the road network for exploration of the area.
There are loads of place where the hotel needs a little TLC, in our room the grout on the bathroom floor was missing in places and the laminate on the floor of the bedroom was well past its best. In the communal areas there were many places where flooring needed replacing or decoration touched up. It’s a shame because it made what was otherwise a very good hotel feel tatty.

Greeted by a very nice duty manager. Couldn't fault him whatsoever.
Room a little cramp and cold on arrival. Decided to eat dinner at hotel. Mediocre at best.
