Very similar to Crystal Hotel. Recepcionist could talk hungarian. Wow! Moreover he knew my birthtown! Room was good, breakfast also.

We picked it because it was last minute and close to where we needed to be. The receptionist was sweet and patient. The room was clean but my remote had no batteries. You get for what you pay for. Don’t over think it

The breakfast was OK. The same fare every day but I only ate on my last day; I had other things to do. No cream/milk for the coffee though. No fresh fruit either. Oddly, there were no face towels in the bathroom. The hotel is old and could use a lot of upgrading. The location, for me, was the deciding factor considering what I had to do in Pasadena and Monterey Park.
A lot of upgrading of worn items like carpet, fixtures, trims throughout could use freshening up and repairs. Still for the price, it's a value.
