About this apartment rental
We invite you to spend your holidays in the heart of Tuscany, in the middle of Val d'Elsa, in the village of Badia a Cerreto, at 5 minutes from Certaldo and 15 from San Gimignano, surrounded by wonderful country of Tuscany and surrounded by the most beautifull cities of art like Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Volterra and others, in a flat with indipendent entrance, elegantly furnished and with a lot of confort, right for a holidays of culture or relax.
Amenities at "Villa le Ginestre": the better geographic position to visit the Tuscany.

Maria and Josefa are very nice folks. The grounds are very beautiful and special. The pet tortoises are quite cute. The bed was very comfortable. The towels were abundant and luxurious. The apartment was essentially very clean except for the pans and dishes which were not. We like to cook no matter where we are. Needing to clean greasy kitchenware and glassware is unpleasant. The unit is a basement walkout and does not have a separate thermostat. It got damp and chilly until 6pm when the heat went on for a couple hours and then again in the early morning. The hot water pressure wasn't constant nor was the temp. The toaster didn't toast in 3 cycles. The listed and pictured microwave wasn't there. And not the host's fault but a vicious sounding dog barked nearby for hours daily. And the wifi was finicky, on, gone, on, gone. Was it a fine place to stay? Yes, but. I too am a VRBO host in the States and l strive to avoid these issues from occurring. I know that the host will take steps to correct these inconveniences for future guests.

A very clean space. Somewhat dated but comfortable. Beautiful outdoor space. Neighbours dog was loud and barked a lot during the day.

The property is just outside the little town of Certaldo, in the heart of Tuscany, which has an ancient part called Certaldo Alto, reachable from the town square, via a funicular railway. The apartment was more than adequate for the two of us, not only to use as a base for touring the area, but also to just relax and refresh in. The facilities available outside and in the grounds were amazing. The heat took a bit of getting use to, for people from Scotland. Yet two fans kept us cool enough throughout the night. Only downside was the mosquitoes, by which, we were eaten alive, that caused sleepless nights and we ended up requiring medical attention. Any recommendations: maybe an upgrade of the tap fittings?. Otherwise, lovely flat, in a lovely location, hosted by lovely people. Would we return?. Out with mosquito season, without a doubt, no hesitation. Blessings, Robert & Helen

The property is well located to discover many great Tuscan towns: San Gimignano, Volterra, Luca and Siena ; we went by train, only 10 euros return.
