The location is great, and it is a good option for work trips for solo travelers. I made myself coffee every morning in the shared kitchen, which brought me back to my youthful traveling days.
This is not directly about the hotel, but if you have a car, the nearby, recommended lot for overnight parking is US$30 per night (in 2026) and there is limited space. I stayed 4 nights, so the parking situation was not the best. But that is downtown Chicago for you!

Location.
Rooms were extremely small felt like a box not enough walking space. We had very loud neighbors that were fighting our entire stay. Couldn’t find good parking.
