Darsena Apartment

Fun location, overlooking the port, next to the Galata Museum. Mostly it was clean, and bright. There were lots of towels and pillows. Bedroom mattress was comfortable, black-out curtains in bedroom were good for sleep. TV worked. Lined trash cans provided. big closets with interior drawers. Wifi worked fine in the Bedroom. The gentleman who met me with the keys was very nice and helped me with my bags and explained everything well. Nespresso maker with pods and hot water maker and tea set up on hte kitchen counter island was a nice touch. There is a washing machine. I did not find a drying rack so I didn't use it. Maybe there was a designated place to hang up clothes to dry. I just did not ask. Shampoo, soap and hair dryer were provided.

The air in the apartment was dry and there was a faint industrial odor. It made me think the air filtration in the building was not as healthy as it aught to be. One of the lightbulbs in the bathroom mirror needed to be replaced. The electrical sockets were loose and so plugs fell out of them if you didn't prop them up. The power strip on the counter was cracked so one of the plug-in places was dangerous. There were some unswept hair bundles that were on the floor in the living room and bathroom when I arrived, which I had to sweep up. The kitchen did not have enough basic supplies, (i.e. needed sharp knives and a cutting board, and a few more utensils to cook with and maybe basic condiments like salt and pepper).

Absolutely wonderful apartment right in the port! Close to the station, buses, the old town, restaurants — everything! We met the owner, who handed us the keys, and everything went smoothly, very nice! The apartment is very large and clean, with fragrant bedding, towels, and toiletries. The huge balcony is fantastic. We had everything we needed. We wholeheartedly recommend it, and I'll gladly return on my next trip to Genoa.

Apartment is central to Genova harbour and easy to access. We were kindly welcomed by the agent who waited us for the keys and accompany to the apartment.

Nothing to report. If not used to live in a big city like us, it was a bit noisy due to the traffic around. Additionally, at the time of our staying, there was a large luna park next during the Xmas period. It is possible to ask (with some extra) an outdoor parking spot nearby. It's about 100m away, but it is possible to get closer for the luggages.

We liked the fact that there was air conditioning and that only we lived in the apartment. You can live. But why not immediately tell people about some shortcomings in the apartment. We wanted a room with a sea view, but got one with a view of the wall.

That we were charged an additional fee for housing and were not warned about this in advance. In the kitchen the faucet was constantly dripping. In the bathroom the faucet was leaking. The floors were dirty. We were settled in the wrong apartment that was promised.
