About this house rental

The Stables is one of four barn conversions situated on a small working farm in Frosterley in Weardale, County Durham. The property is surrounded by unspoilt countryside, overlooking the River Wear and the Weardale Railway Line. The property has been tastefully refurbished and is full of character and charm. It has shared use of lovely grounds, gardens, childrens play area, summerhouse and games room.

Very comfortable stay with friendly host. Comfortable cottage with fully equipped kitchen and plenty of space to entertain the family. There are lot of nearby places to explore for both family and their furry friends The cottage was very nicely decorated with the Christmas theme, and a generous Christmas hamper, thanks so much Val. We highly recommend the Stables and adjoining cottages. Thank you

Second visit here for a family/friends getaway. Beautiful cottage and facilities. Will definitely return again. Hosts are lovely too. Lots to do whether you stay at the accommodation or go for a walk around the scenic surroundings. Gorgeous local pub and chip shop nearby too.

It’s always a lovely break here. We’ve stayed a few times before. The accommodation is always well run, beautifully clean, cosy and welcoming. The children love the garden and pool table and it’s a beautiful setting.
