Aloft by Marriott Santa Clara

Very clean, comfortable rooms.

Parking. Was not informed prior to booking or checking in that i would have to pay to park. Ended up paying the fee and still received a notice on my car the next morning.

Location and overall comfort

Nothing

Clean and updated nice hotel with Excellent location is perfect for the game. It's about a 15 min walk without having to deal with all the traffic! The staff is amazing.

No complaints

Location is good for access to surrounding companies and the Convention Center. The room itself is up to what I've come to expect from Aloft.

I have a restricted diet for health reasons so I did not get the breakfast as the items were "off the menu" for me. I ate in my room. I was told by the front-desk that the "shuttle" apparently only drops off and doesn't do a return trip ? How is that useful ? There is a button on the lightswitch panel marked "Press for Housekeeping", which apparently doesn't actually do anything but there is no signage or indication that you have to ask for it at the front-desk. I get that most hotels are not doing housekeeping everyday now, but that button needs to be covered or there needs to be signage. The outsourced parking is *horrible*. Rather than just pay at the desk, I had to sign up with the third-party parking services company they use and now have an account with them which I did not ask for and can't seem to get rid of. This particular property has some issues that need to be looked at and which I've not experienced at other Alofts.
