I’ve stayed here multiple times while visiting my daughter at Western Carolina University, and it has become my go-to place whenever I’m in Western North Carolina. This is a small, independently owned motel, and the difference really shows in the best way possible. The property is always very clean, and the staff and owners are exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and personable. They truly make your stay feel warm and personal rather than just transactional.
The pricing is also extremely reasonable, especially compared to accommodations closer to campus, which can get pretty expensive. Even though the motel is about 30 minutes from WCU, the drive is easy and well worth the savings. It’s a great balance of convenience, comfort, and value.
I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the area. I’ve stayed here before, will absolutely continue staying here in the future, and always appreciate the hospitality.
The only minor downside has nothing to do with the motel itself, sometimes pulling out onto the main road can be a little hectic during busy traffic times. It can feel a bit like playing Frogger! Other than that, I genuinely have no complaints and always enjoy staying here.
