Once we arrived, I did the check in, I was charged $56 for resort fees. I asked why, the rep just told me is a fee set by the hotel (well why charge resort fees when is not even a resort or doesn’t have any feature that makes distinction as a resort)
The second day I told the office guy that our room was moldy and no one did the room service. He told me “Since Covid Pandemic situation we don’t do room service anymore until the end of your booking “, this honestly is something that as of now is an excuse to keep their costs low, however, the price of the room is almost double than they use to charge before the pandemic started.
Lot of unorganized stuff everywhere, out dated rooms (carpet repaired with tape”)

It’s true, you get what you pay for. But sometimes you get more than you pay for. In this case, I was quite pleased with this property, considering I only paid $ *** per night with taxes. Everything else in the area was $ *** and up up up. If you just need a clean room with basic amenities to sleep in, this is the place. Yes, it’s an old motel. No, there’s no elevator, no breakfast, not even a microwave. There was a little mini fridge and an iron, decent towels And a smart TV. The bed was a bit firm for my personal taste, and I’m really glad I brought my own pillow. That said, it’s a block away from the casinos and a short walk to the beach.
This was definitely a good value for South Lake Tahoe.
