The Priory Hotel

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Truly appreciated the complimentary shuttle to the concert venue. The Monk Bar was a small, but fun gathering place and drinks were delicious.

It took five full minutes in order to get hot water in the shower (in our 3rd floor room) but other than the wait the water temperature and pressure were satisfying.

The place looks historic and beautiful. The staff during check in was super nice, the gentleman even explained some historical facts about the building and neighborhood.

The night staff was pretty rude for no reason. Here is my convo with her: - Hi! We did not know where the correct parking is? We saw the first lot was full and followed the signs but could not find the gate door? how do we get in there? - (Hotel STAFF) - What do you mean? There is a gate so THERE IS A WAY TO GET IN (barking at me?! while I am standing there 11pm all surprised at what I have done to her?) Anyway, neighborhood is not safe do not walk at night.

Staff was great esp shuttle driver Bob. Priory offers free shuttle to restaurants or Pirates game. Housekeeping was immaculate internet was strong. Historic nunnery w very interesting history. Breakfast is croissant takeaway Last year we stayed at their other property Mansion on Fifth in Oakland. Both properties highly recommended

its a beautiful old building but did not get beyond the front desk. The surrounding area is complicated to drive to but doable.

We found out on checking in that we put in the wrong day for the reservation. The man at the front desk was angry with us even though I said it was our mistake, I apologized, but did they have a room available? He was very angry and argumentive! We were told no they did not have a room. However after we left I requested Booking to see if we could get a refund and they said they would need to contact the management. The management gave us the refund which was very appreciated.
