For the price point, my hope was for a safe place for my family to sleep for the night, cleanliness, and comfortable beds. Red Lion met all 3 of these requirements. Having free breakfast was a bonus. Sure, it's not a sit down breakfast, but the inn offers breakfast burritos, sandwiches, frittatas, etc. that can be heated up in the microwave within one's room. We also had the option of pastries, cereal, fruits, yogurt, milk, coffee, granola bars, Chex mix, candy, and other items. We didn't experience a lot of noise in our building (B), and contrary to other reviews, the hallway of this building didn't have a smoke smell, though there was a little smoke odor in the lobby. I trust the Salmon Creek area more than many other places in Vancouver, though I wouldn't have wanted to stay much farther south on Hwy 99. Having many food options around the building was nice. We stayed on a holiday, so most things were closed, but we were able to grab some snacks at the 76 next door.
The spa/hot tub was out of service, and I got the impression that this is its indefinite state. As such, it shouldn't be advertised as a part of the property. My family was looking forward to using it. The pool can only be used by 1 room at a time by reservation, and all slots were booked when we checked in.

Room was big and comfortable. They are dog friendly. Love the breakfast choices!
Toilet was super low to the floor. Hard for disabled to stand up off it.

I drove 24 hours from Arizona and was so relieved to arrive at this property—it was absolutely worth the trip. Everything was spotless and well-kept, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome after such a long drive. And being a single female, I felt very safe at this location! The cleanliness and exceptional service really stood out. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-managed place to stay!

Location was good and the checking staff very friendly. Fairly comfortable bed and bedding.
The room was clean but had a damp feel-smell to it. The parking lot was tiny and felt just a bit schetchy at night….
