Such a cute place!! Well located. I arrived after the owners had left but clear instructions were available and I accessed my room without issue. Bed was soft but, even as a firm mattress sleeper, it was SO comfy and I had a good sleep. Breakfast was amazing. Sweet gesture: I was given a half bottle of local wine as it was a birthday trip
The only downside as a solo traveller is that they do not have a dining room, so breakfast is served to your room

Staff was quite pleasant and helpful. Location within Mendocino was excellent. Afternoon cookies were exceptional. Fireplace prep was a nice touch.
Breakfast was just OK; could have been served earlier as far as we were concerned. Bread pudding didn't have much taste. Bed was too soft and lumpy. It was too easy to hit our heads on the slanted ceiling. Baseboard heater was not terribly effective. Single-paned windows didn't keep the room's warmth in very well.
