Upon walking in, stale cigarette smoke, bad!!! Everything. Not sure if whomever is washing the towels is smoking while folding or smoking while cleaning but the towels smelled like smoke. I had to get a can of air freshener so I could temporarily tolerate before I went to bed....cig smoke makes me gag, I'm a former smoker too.
I can't stand wearing socks, if I could be barefoot all day everyday, I would. However, walking on the carpet my feet were black and it was only barely an hour of on and off the bed after showering before I went to sleep. Bugs loving in the corners, yellow overly marked up walls.
The tub was definitely old, whatever coating or paint was on it is barely on it and the water of you want a shower and someone is sleeping, they won't be sleeping anymore. The diverter valve doesn't open up all the way so you have shower and faucet water and it's a loud roaring whistle noise and I tried to turn it on and off several times and jiggle and pull and no avail, the water pressure would be absolutely amazing if it opened/diverted properly all the way. And thr bedding isn't as pictured on sites, I was disappointed to walk in to a basic tan blanket. Typically the spare tan blanket most hotels have on hand, that was my blanket. I had to buy my own via door dash as I forgot to bring my own but wasn't going to cut it.
I wish there was more than the chain lock for the door as well, being a single traveling female, I need a bit more than that.
Otherwise checking was fine, gentleman was nice. It was a room and I was able to sleep for what I needed but I didn't walk away wanting to come back or suggest the place.
Coming from working in hospitality for over 12years and wanting to own my own hotel, its disappointing when someone doesn't take pride in their property and upkeep. This place could have potential for sure especially from old pictures I seen.
If you stay here, bring slippers, don't plan on showering if you want quiet and prepare for the overhwlmeing smell of cigarettes and flies landing on you. You get what you pay for basically! If the floor was clean, stale cig smell wasn't overwhelming, bugs were taken care, bed more inviting (oddly it was comfortable for being an old mattress) and shower didn't sound like a train station....Id left a better review and those are easy fixes (not floor....carpet is doomed).

It was a long day, and the staff member that night got me right in to my room. It didn’t take long to drift to sleep in a ver comfortable bed.

Room assigned was not clean and open when I approached. Asked for a refund and was told it could happen but I had to call Agoda. I’ve now spoken with Agoda twice and am still awaiting approval for refund. What a mess.
