Overall good value for the money. Great location, able to walk to everything. Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was remodeled. The creek behind the room was a pleasant surprise to hear the rushing water. While I will note cons i do think overall it was what I expected for the price. If I paid more per night I would have been disappointed
As soon as we walked in the room smelled like cigarette smoke despite the property being non smoking. I opened all the windows to give it fresh air and that helped alot. We kept the windows open the entire stay. Room was next to laundry room so heard washer and dryer being used early. (Not sure if smoking stale room could be due to old motel or employees smoking) there was a leak coming from the laundry room. The breakfast was basically all carbs and nothing diabetic friendly. The bed was uncomfortable and room tight. The neighbors upstairs were so heavy footed that even playing white noise didnt drown them out sleeping.

Very close to tons of good shops and places downtown. Would be great if you had recommendations available at check in.
Parking lot is very small and tight. Might be best if trucks did not park in it.

Location, staff, selection and cleanliness at continental breakfast
Mattresses were old and uncomfortable, especially the one farthest from the window air conditioner. We think everyone used the 2nd bed escape the direct wind from the conditioner
The runner between the beds was so old that all the non-slick stuff was worn off and it skidded very easily. After each of of had nearly fallen when stepping on it, we rolled it up and put it in a corner so we wouldn’t get hurt. (Put it back and reported it at the front desk when we checked out.)
A personal prejudice: cheap plastic eating utensils for the continental breakfast. Have you tried eating a nice hot waffle with cheap, easily-broken, dull plastic knife and fork?
Broken screens in original buildings. Took the building from looking historical to looking run-down.
