It was totally unlike a hotel experience. More like a visit to a great aunt with an old house with old furniture. It is an experience itself. Marjorie had lots of stories about the house and the community.
Old houses take a lot of work, upkeep and cleaning are ongoing.

Breakfast was good and Valerie was winderful
Bathroom needs attention , doors to cabinets wouldn’t close. Toulet had stains. And newer sheets would have been nicer. Polyester waswasn’t comfortable. Need a stairs to get into beds.

The overall home and facilities needed an incredible amount of maintenance. It was really embarrassing introducing a friend to this home, her first antebellum B&B. Very disappointing when dust has accumulated in piles around corners of furniture and you could see dust floating in the air. (I have managed asthma.). Also mildew and mold on walls, underneath all pealing wallpaper in the bathroom. Multiple locks on the door. Using the wrong one will lock you out, which is what happened to us. One could smell dust and mildew.
All furniture needed a good dusting.
