Courtyard by Marriott Cypress Anaheim / Orange County

There was a lovely lady at the reception who assisted me with checking in . Her name is Mwinji. Very professional, friendly, kind , and knowledgeable and answered all my questions . But not only that, she was just so extremely welcoming and really set the tone for the start of our stay there. Thank you Mwinji! The hotel itself was actually larger than I expected and facilities were nice, it was very clean. Our executive King room was lovely, spacious and clean with lots of storage and space it even had two TV's . The air con works a little too perfectly the room was icy crisp lol but you can adjust it to your personal preference obviously. There was a microwave and fridge in the room and a sofa too. Location wise, it's pretty perfect because there are a ton of food places within walking distance I'm talking just walk right across the parking lot at the side of the hotel and there's burger place, dumpling place, El Torito etc. Lots of choices. I was travelling with a toddler so we went to Adventure city nearby which was less than 10 min drive and also to the park called Larwin park which has a great shaded kids playground and that was only 4/5mins away if at that. We did go to the pool but didn't swim . Pool is a decent size -shame there is no hot tub. And if I was going to nit pick, the pool could have been a tad bit cleaner but I dipped my feet in and it was a nice temperature. The hotel has a bistro downstairs which is where they serve food in the evening and their breakfast. There is also a bar area too for drinks. I had a lovely margarita made for me at the bar in the evening and the Lady who made it was also very lovely and friendly (sadly I forgot to ask her name) but she was so sweet to my Kid as well and I really appreciated that. In the morning we had breakfast - I had the breakfast sandwich which was tasty and some other cold items too. The lady taking the breakfast orders was also so sweet.

So this is not a Hotel problem per se but Booking.com says Breakfast costs $9.95 per person and that is not accurate so please update your information because it's Ala carte menu and not even a buffet breakfast either so the advertising was misleading.

The staff, from the front desk to the restaurant to maintenance to room service, all were very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious . The outdoor pool was refreshing in the morning.

It would have been nice to have towels for the pool in our room. Other than that there was nothing that really stood out.

Room is outdated, no body lotion, room was not prepared properly, we have to made up the bed on first night. 2nd night was fine with the room prepared properly. Worst Courtyard ever stayed in. Room feel extremely outdated, cold and unwelcoming…
