About this cottage rental
Surrounded by fields and with far-reaching views of the Preseli Hills, this stunning barn has high-end holiday enhancements including a shared pool, a sauna and a spa complex. Set within the grounds of a former working farm, its reverse-level features include four bedrooms – two with en-suites – and an open-plan living space beneath a fabulous vaulted ceiling. Complete with a wood burner and private garden, it’s a fabulous choice for a group getaway at any time of year.
Located in lush countryside close to the border between Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, this impressive holiday home has characterful features and a rustic feel throughout, but there’s no compromise on comfort and convenience. The ground floor houses a family bathroom and four soothing bedrooms – two are king-size with en-suite shower rooms, and two have twin beds. The master bedroom also has its own seating area. A wooden staircase leads up to the first floor, where a splendid vaulted ceiling and low-level windows frame the fabulous open-plan living space. Comfortable leather sofas sit before a wood burner and a TV at one end, and there’s a contemporary, country-style kitchen complete with a breakfast bar and all the essentials for a fuss-free self-catering stay. A separate dining area will be the setting for more formal mealtimes, and a convenient cloakroom ensures comfort for everyone when you gather on this level. Step outside and the barn has a private seating and BBQ area, while the larger shared garden has mature planting with a lawn and more seating. There’s a small unfenced stream in front of the cottage, and parking for up to three cars. Close by, another barn-like building houses a fabulous indoor swimming pool, sauna, hot tub and changing area. Enjoy country walks from the doorstep or head 14 miles north, passing the Preseli Hills, to historic Cardigan, the gateway to the Teifi Valley and the Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire coastal paths. A similar distance south, Laugharne – the home of poet Dylan Thomas – sits on the estuary where the River Taf flows into Carmarthen Bay. Follow the Pembrokeshire coast west from here and Pendine has a 7-mile stretch of glorious sand, while the golden beaches of Tenby and Saundersfoot are within 22 miles of your holiday home.
