This rural village stands on the edge of the Golden Valley, an area renowned for its beautiful countryside and scenic walks. This historic village is mentioned in the Domesday Book as “Land of the Kings” and is also the home of the 12th century stone church of St. Michael and All Saints, with its impressive Norman tower. There is a village pub and a local shop, while a wide range of amenities are available in Hereford, 7 miles away. With its magnificent cathedral, and medieval bridge over the winding River Wye, Hereford is the very image of picturesque England, and a perfect base from which to explore the region's beautiful countryside, with delightful Black and White villages, excellent pubs, restaurants, and antique shops. Famous for cider production, Hereford is also home to the world famous Mappa Mundi, the largest pre-15th century map in existence, as well as the chained library, a collection of over 1500 rare books.
