About this cottage rental
Located within Dorset's beautiful Blackmore Vale, Amy's Cottage sits next to its sister South Cottage, both sharing a large garden with lawns, wildflower meadow and tree-lined hollows. Located in the hamlet of Caundle Marsh, and close to the popular town of Sherborne, this cosy and comfortable cottage is the ideal base.
On the ground floor you will find the combined sitting and dining room with its double aspect, a wood burning stove, Smart TV, and well-stocked bookshelves. The cottage kitchen includes all-electric appliances and leads through to the large conservatory, which can be used as an alternative dining or relaxing space with lovely views of the garden. Three comfortable bedrooms can be found on the first floor, and include a king-size, and two single bedrooms, all offering expansive views of the garden and countryside, and the family bathroom with shower sits conveniently at the bottom of the stairs on the ground floor.
There is plenty to explore in the area including the two castles and Abbey in nearby Sherborne, Minterne House and Gardens, and Cerne Abbas with its famous Giant. A visit to historic Oxford's Artisan Bakery is recommended, and located just two minutes away from the cottage.
The market town of Dorchester is just a pleasant drive away with plenty of choice for pubs, restaurants, museums and shopping, and the glorious Jurassic Coast is within easy reach.
