A History of Charm and Tradition
The origins of VillaGrancassa date back to the mid-19th century, when it was built by order of Don Francesco Nardone and entrusted to Don Felice Grancassa.
A fascinating legend tells that, during a long drought, the villa's cisterns dried up. Don Felice, however, continued the work, using wine from his cellars to mix the mortar, a symbol of the family's generosity and spirit.
Over the years, the villa has endured significant historical moments, including the devastating 1915 Marsica earthquake, which damaged part of its structure. Subsequently restored, it still retains valuable architectural elements, such as the majestic stone portal and elegant internal staircase.
