About this house rental
The large, secure garden overlooks woodland and is ideal for dogs. It feels private and tranquil, yet you’re only a short stroll from village shops and pubs - the best of both worlds.
Set back from the street behind a private wall and gate, the house opens into a spacious hallway that leads to a warm, comfortable living room with an open fire, cosy seating, and a TV with Netflix and all major streaming apps.
The open-plan kitchen and dining area look out onto a long, secure garden that backs onto woodland. It’s beautiful year-round - even in the quieter months when the outdoor seating is stored away and the plants are tucked down for winter. The space is ideal for dog walks, morning coffee, or simply enjoying the peaceful view.
Upstairs you’ll find a generous bathroom with a powerful shower and a deep bath overlooking the garden.
The bedrooms are bright, calm, and thoughtfully styled to feel instantly welcoming. The main bedroom features a king-size bed, desk space, antique furniture, generous storage, and soft furnishings that create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
A second bedroom is also available, offering a peaceful and tranquil space overlooking the back garden. It features a double ottoman bed with a memory foam mattress topper, dressed in plush cotton and linen bedding for a restful night’s sleep. The room also includes wardrobe storage and a decorative (non-working) fireplace, adding to its character and charm.
If you would like use of the second bedroom during your stay, please let me know when booking so it can be prepared for you. Otherwise, the room will remain closed.
Photos of the second bedroom will be available from 10th April.
Parking is easy, with ample free on-street parking directly outside and additional off-street options along the small lane next door.
Perfectly placed on the edge of the Cotswolds, the house is around 15 minutes by car (or via a fast village bus) from Oxford city centre, and a short drive to Blenheim Palace and Woodstock.
Burford, Daylesford, Chipping Norton, Bourton-on-the-Water and many of the Cotswolds’ most-loved villages are all close by, along with endless walks and great pubs.
