About this house rental

Welcome to a special Portland gem tucked into a peaceful, storybook neighborhood on the foothills of Rocky Butte Natural Area. This 1955 ranch-style home blends authentic mid-century character with thoughtful modern upgrades, including central AC/heat, new appliances, a private jacuzzi, and a cozy gas fireplace. A space that feels both inspiring and timeless, and magically cozy.

The space
Whether you’re here to unwind, explore Portland, or settle into a creative flow, the space is designed to support you.

Built in the 50s and still very much itself, in the best way. I welcome you to Millie!
This is a lovingly maintained mid-century ranch that hasn’t been stripped of its soul. The original wood paneling, exposed beams, and layout are all still here, paired with thoughtful upgrades and a mix of vintage and high-end modern pieces that give it an eclectic and elevated feel.

Tucked into a quiet, tree and garden-filled neighborhood, the home feels like a lush retreat within the city. It's private and peaceful, yet just minutes from everything. Unwind in the hot tub under the stars, cozy up by the fireplace, or sink into the incredible oversized couch for a movie or game night. Lots of games here to pick from, and the 44" TV has wheels so you can move it wherever you see fit!

The Experience
This is a home meant to be lived in and to create memories in. Start your morning with coffee in the sunlit kitchen (sky lights throughout the home), spend the day exploring Portland or taking in sweeping views from Rocky Butte, then return home to cook, gather, and unwind.

Living Area
A warm, design-forward living space where vintage textures meet elevated comfort. The oversized couch, gas fireplace, and mix of original art create an atmosphere that feels eclectic and inviting.

Chef’s Kitchen
A true highlight of the home. Fully equipped with new stainless steel appliances, a gas stove, Vitamix, French press, pour over, water heating kettle, and a complete set of dishware, cookware, and tools—the kitchen is designed for real cooking and gathering. The marble dining table and cozy kitchen nook are both perfect for enjoying meals. The original wood cabinets and lemon yellow counters make it feel extra unique..

Bedrooms
Two serene bedrooms designed for rest and comfort, each featuring high-quality queen mattresses:
• Saatva (supportive, hotel-quality feel)
• Sealy memory foam (soft, contouring comfort)
Finished with soft linens, 4 plush pillows each, and a calm, quiet ambiance with lush views from all windows. There are curtains and pull-down blackout blinds as options. Both bedrooms have empty closets with plenty of hangers and laundry baskets too.
The office room has a futon that can be made into a 3rd private bedroom (full size bed) , so there are 3 beds total. Extra pillows and linens are available for that space too.

Office Space
A dedicated workspace for remote work, creative flow, or quiet focus. A space to relax separately or turn into a sleeping space. The third bed is listed as in the second bedroom, but it is actually in the office.

Bathroom
Bright, clean, and thoughtfully stocked with essentials like shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and hand soap.

Laundry Room
Full laundry space with washer, dryer, and clothing steamer (especially ideal for longer stays). Eco-friendly laundry detergent is provided.

Outdoor Space
The backyard offers a private, greenery-filled setting, tucked away from the city. Soak in the hot tub beneath the trees, enjoy slow mornings outside, or wind down after a full day exploring. It’s a peaceful extension of the home and one of its most loved features, particularly the jacuzzi and string lights (jacuzzi seats 5). There is a table and outdoor seating for 5 as well. You'll notice an array of beautiful flowers in bloom depending on the season, like rhododendrons, daffodils, camellias, and jasmine. The front yard is equally charming and accommodates up to 6 vehicles.

Location
Located just minutes from Rocky Butte, one of Portland’s most incredible viewpoints, offering panoramic 360° views of the city, the Columbia River, and surrounding landscapes like Mt Hood and Mt St. Helens.
You’re also a short drive from Portland’s best restaurants, coffee shops, and neighborhoods. I provide a list of my favorite things to do in the area, including restaurants, sightseeing, and shops.

Absolutely NO parties. Keep it cozy.
