Corner Cottage in Tideswell, Derbyshire, sleeps six in three bedrooms.
The Space:
Corner Cottage, a four-storey home, has three bedrooms including a second-floor king-size, a first floor double with ensuite and a twin room. There is also a main a bathroom. The rest of the cottage contains an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric fire, and there is a utility area in the cellar together with bike storage. Appliances consist of an electric oven, gas hob, combi microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, Smart TV and DVD player. To the outside of the property there is a free public car park. Two well-behaved dogs welcomed, but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included. You'll find a shop and a pub in 0.1 miles. Escape to Derbyshire at Corner Cottage. Note: Internal access to the cellar is via steep steps, care must be taken, alternative level access is available from the rear of the property. Note: No cats allowed. Note: Check-in from 4pm, check-out by 10am. Note: Steps to the exterior; may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
The Neighborhood:
The village of Tideswell stands in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Famous for its fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist, known as "The Cathedral of the Peak", the village is also noted for its well dressing and carnival wakes. There is excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away and the popular Spa town of Buxton is within a 15 minute drive. Tideswell has many fine country inns, a chemist, butchers, bakers and much more including a convenient supermarket open daily until 10pm. The pretty little market town of Bakewell is also just a short drive away and well worth a visit.
