The property has three bedrooms; a super-king-size with en-suite shower room, a super-king-size with zip/link feature and a twin, sleeping six guests. There is a family bathroom, a cloakroom, a kitchen/diner, separate dining room with woodburning stove and two sitting rooms, one of which has a woodburning stove. Outside there is off-road parking for three cars, as well as an enclosed patio and lawned garden with a swing seat and a picnic bench. 1 Cherry Tree Cottage is a lovely property for a holiday exploring the Lake District. One-well behaved dog welcome (no puppies)

This small coastal town of Millom rests on the southern edges of the Lake District National Park. There are castle ruins to discover, as well as a museum of local history with a reconstruction of a drift mine lending a nod to its iron and steel works past. This town was the home of writer Norman Nicholson, who has a stained glass window in St. George's Church dedicated to his memory. Nearby Haverigg offers a Blue Flag beach, a restored lighthouse and children's adventure play areas. Other attractions in the region include Black Combe for walks with stunning views and Sandscale Haws, a National Nature Reserve with an outstanding plethora of wildlife. Further afield, the towns and villages of Grizedale, Ambleside and Windermere are easily accessible.
