The living areas in this home consist of a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, a dining room with open fire, and a sitting room with TV and woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of a double with electric fire and en-suite, and a twin, serviced by a ground-floor bathroom. Outside there is a front, multi-level garden with lawn, patio, furniture and a summerhouse, and a private driveway for one large car or two small cars. Two well-behaved dogs welcome, but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. You'll find a shop in 1.2 miles, a pub in 2 miles, and River Lowther in 0.1 miles. For a charming base to Cumbria, book White House. The Neighborhood:
This charming, linear village is located in the remote dales of Cumbria's Eden area. This tiny community is made up of a row of houses from the 18th century, as well as a swimming pool, bars, stores, a Post Office, and a beautiful memorial park. Shap Abbey, which is located half a mile from the village core and is surrounded by a magnificent setting by the River Lowther, was last ruled by Henry VIII in 1540. The stunning Lake District National Park is close by, and the charming towns of Ambleside and Windermere are also accessible.
