It is a thriving town built around The Church of St Mary, with a Post Office, two supermarkets, and a selection of three different pubs. The annual Llanfair Caereinion Carnival is very popular with locals, and proceeds through the town with a full parade of floats and dancing troupes, providing a Rio carnival atmosphere. Welshpool nestles into the upper reaches of the picturesque Severn Valley near the border between Wales and England. There's a unique blend of shops offering arts & crafts, fashion & leisure, fresh produce, and quality pubs and restaurants, as well as the town centre’s restored cock fighting pit and interesting Heritage Trail.
