About this house rental
No smoking, of any sort, on the property. To keep it peaceful, no drunkiness, due to stairs and outdoor hazards. All of the UPSTAIRS floor contains the suite. A truly "Away" oasis to retreat & relax in advance of the next day's activities.
Must be 21 or older to rent. Rent is for 30 nights. This will cost less than name-brand Seattle or Bellevue hotel or many vacation rentals for 10-12 days. 30 night minimum is due to insurance requirements. Arrive before the W. Cup or stay after it** OR enjoy a seaside vacation!

Hike the west side parks or reserves, including the Olympic Peninsula, walk local parks.
Explore the quieter side of Puget Sound.
Suite has air conditioning, quality furniture (some Euro), not revolting stuff you have to put a towel on before sitting, not cheap stuff. Enjoy high ceilings + many windows for open, airy feeling, and cross ventilation. In living rm: 40in smart TV + electric fireplace, GRAND views. Eat-in kitchenette has expansive view: full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, Kuerig coffee maker, more, but no hot plate, no range. Old fashioned charcoal grill available for bay-side BBQ.
Refresh with a large shower w/ handheld shower nozzle in newer bathroom with skylight. Bedrm, with walk-in closet, has comfy wing back chair with Olympic Mountain view--catch sight of the last of the snow on the peaks.
Suite is private, access is by deadbolted door upstairs. Just like in a hotel lobby, entry, outdoors are shared. Owner has 20+ years rental experience, lives on main floor, but new to VRBO.
1-2 quiet, FRIENDLY dogs***** welcome; sorry, NO cats, no matter how wonderful they may be. Property has fenced courtyard for dog relief, please pick up solids.
NOTE: Dogs, deer, cats, other roam freely in this neighborhood
Limit 2 persons, no one under 21 yrs because of uncontrolled tides, hazardous wild animals, including ill-tempered river otters, seals, coyotes, raptors, more animals, the quick access to the bay, a kayaker's favorite (sorry, lodging does not include water toys, life jackets, etc.). If you have good luck, you may spot eagles, orcas!
Renters' washer & dryer are in the garage.
Owner has own set.
Free parking on the property.
Owner lives on main floor w/ 2 friendly dogs.
For World Cup days, House owner will let your dog(s) out for relief, IF dog is friendly to owner. Please no barkers, such as Chihuahuas; no guarding breeds or mixes such as pitbulls, German Shepards, Skippkerkee, mastiffs, Dobermans, Akitas, etc.
But ANY SIZE 1-2 dog(s) quiet and friendly to people and to dogs are WELCOME!!
Please ask questions because I do not want you to be disappointed. Please talk to owner about any concerns, problems, wishes because many can be solved on the spot or accommodated quickly.
Good communication from renter to owner is very important.
However, if orcas are sighted from the house by owner, renter will be notified.
Amount of interaction with owner and owners dogs are lead by the renters' choice.
Owner is a terrible photographer. The suite has much more light than pictured.
Owner can't seem to cluster photos of each room together, so forgive the confusion.
* Check walk route and transportation to events, please. Ferries takes occupied vehicles or just passengers. I cannot drive you.
** Coffee and local General store are 10-15 min. north of waterfront house.
*** You will find 2 grocery stores, health food store, Trader Joe's, Costco, restaurants, banks, veterinarians and vet ER's, etc., in Silverdale, 30 min on mostly view and rural roads.
Quaint Old Poulsbo + upscale Town & Country grocery store with loads of amazing pre-made foods (this is not Safeway style), and New Englander settled Port Gamble are 40-45 minutes. Kitsap traffic is minor.
**** Visit to Port Townsend (a grand Victorian town) and destination for WHALE WATCH boat tour --- May and June tours get the most sightings.
View the smaller sea creatures at Seattle Aquarium such as charming sea otters, starfish, often giant octopus (who are released back into the Sound). No orcas or dolphins in captivity at the Seattle Aquarium. Enjoy world-class dining in Seattle.
Stroll through Seattle Art Museum, Tacoma Glass Museum (live glass blowing).
***** FYI: "Comfort" or "Emotional Support Dogs" are not recognized in Washington State, sorry, and cannot enter businesses with food or get discounts.
