Pear Tree Cottage consists of a kitchen/diner with double electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, and dining table, a utility with washing machine and tumble dryer, and a sitting room with Smart TV and woodburning stove with unlimited log supply. The bedrooms consist of a super-king-size, a king-size with en-suite walk-in shower, and a small double, serviced by a bathroom. WiFi, fuel, power, starter pack for woodburning stove bed linen, and towels inc. in rent. Outside, there is an enclosed rear garden with lawn, patio, furniture, and fire pit, bike storage available, and ample off-road parking on shared driveway. Two well-behaved dogs welcome, but sorry, no smoking. Escape to Shropshire at Pear Tree Cottage. Note: AGA will not be in use during summer months. The quaint countryside village of Longden is tucked away in a peaceful corner of Shropshire, with Shrewsbury market town just over five miles away and Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd resting beneath. This small parish destination is home to The Tankerville Arms, a welcoming country pub surrounded by picturesque walking trails and cycle routes, a local convenience store, a private tennis club, a playground park, and a recreational field. The church of St Ruthen dates back to the 1500s, originally built as a chapel to the parish church at Pontesbury. With ties to medieval origins, it is home to a war memorial and is the resting place of two World War II soldiers. Shrewsbury market town is a short car ride away, a historic medieval settlement with the gorgeous River Severn flowing through, boasting attractions including Attingham Park, Shrewsbury Historic Church Trail, Shrewsbury Castle, and Ironbridge Gorge. Longden is a lovely base to explore The Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with striking landscapes, rocky hills, and unique wildlife, you'll never be bored in this area!
