One of a pair of cottages on this remote site, this three-bedroom abode is ideal for families or groups of friends seeking tranquillity and adventure. Located just over a mile from Golden Strand Beach, this delightful property is surrounded by superb walks and has a wealth of outdoor adventures and historic treasures nearby.


Approached via a shared driveway, this single-storey cottage is filled with rustic charm and comfortably furnished to offer a true home-from-home. Centred on a stone fireplace with an open fire, the inviting lounge promises cosy evenings after adventurous days. Double glass doors lead into a dining room with rural views, which flows seamlessly into a country-style kitchen. When night falls, retire to one of three elegant bedrooms, two doubles, one with an en-suite shower room, and a twin. A family bathroom completes the interior, while outside there’s a patio with garden furniture along with a shared lawn.


One of the jewels of the Wild Atlantic Way, Achill Island is Ireland’s largest island, but at just 15 miles by 11 miles, you can comfortably explore its many treasures. There’s ample opportunity for walking, cycling and fishing, while a nine-hole golf course (6 miles) and Achill Surf and Adventure Centre (6.5 miles) offer a world of outdoor activities. Alternatively, hop in your car to traverse the Atlantic Drive, which takes you past ancient monuments and soaring sea cliffs.
