About this house rental

4BR · 2BA · sleeps 8 · private gym · dog-friendly

Welcome to The Pearl, a rare waterfront sanctuary on Puget Sound where life genuinely slows down.

This isn't just a beautiful house with extraordinary views. It's a place where you wake to bald eagles riding thermals over the water, deer wander the garden at dusk, and the only sound is wind, birdsong, and the rhythm of the Sound. For guests coming to rest, reset, or reconnect, The Pearl delivers something most vacation rentals simply cannot.

Play
Six FIFA World Cup 2026 matches come to Seattle between June 15 and July 6, including USA vs. Australia. We are at the perfect distance - close enough to feel the electricity, far enough to come home to silence.

Walk onto the Kingston Ferry 20 minutes away, and arrive at Lumen Field in under 90 minutes. No parking, no highway. Just water, the Olympic and Cascade mountains framing Puget Sound, Seattle's skyline on the horizon...then the world's biggest stage.

Move
A fully equipped private gym in a detached structure with weights, cardio, and everything you need for a full workout without leaving the property.
A dedicated bonus room with water views serves as the perfect yoga or meditation space.
Beach access and kayak launch are minutes away. Hiking and the Hansville Greenway trail start right at the gate.

Restore
Enjoy panoramic Sound and mountain views from every main living space. A fireplace for evening unwinding. A spacious deck overlooking the lawn and garden, with seating for eight facing the water. Resident hummingbirds, eagles, osprey, and the occasional deer make every morning feel like a wildlife sanctuary.

Sleep
Four distinct sleeping spaces for up to 8 guests, each thoughtfully designed:

Primary Suite: Queen bed with a personal patio overlooking the Sound. Wake to water light every morning. The adjacent bathroom features a bathtub with panoramic Sound views - a guest favorite.

Second Bedroom: Twin beds facing the garden. Perfect for kids or a pair of solo travelers.

Third Bedroom: Queen bed with its own separate entry. Ideal for guests wanting extra privacy.

Loft: A sun-drenched space with skylights, expansive Sound views, a queen bed, and room to spread out. Another guest favorite.

Nourish
A fully equipped kitchen designed for wholesome, unhurried home cooking. A back kitchen with a second sink and coffee station means mornings never feel crowded. The dining table extends to seat eight - perfect for slow dinners with people you love. Step outside to the deck for al fresco dining under string lights facing the lush garden, or in the backyard with the Sound as your backdrop.

Explore
The Pearl sits at the tip of the Kitsap Peninsula, steps from Foulweather Bluff Wildlife Preserve - a richly bio-diverse protected coastal sanctuary.

A short drive north is Point No Point Lighthouse - the oldest on Puget Sound. It is also an official Whale Trail site, one of the best places in the region to spot orcas, humpback whales, river otters, and harbor porpoise from shore.

Point No Point is also a legendary birding hotspot, renowned for massive seabird migrations each spring and fall, where the geography funnels passing migrants across the water in spectacular concentrations.

Skunk Bay Lighthouse, a private federally commissioned working light, is literally next door, while the Norwegian Point Park and multiple sandy beaches are 5 minutes away.

The Hansville Greenway hiking trail begins at the property gate, facing a horse farm across the road.

Olympic National Park, Mount Rainier and the Cascades are within easy reach, making for a truly pristine and storied natural corner of the Pacific Northwest.

Getting Here
We always enjoy the scenic ferry trip! Downtown Seattle is about 35 minutes by the fast ferry, and about 1 hour total by the car ferry. The house is about 20 minutes from the Kingston Ferry Terminal from Edmonds, and 35 minutes from the Bainbridge Ferry Terminal.

Check ferry schedules at wsdot website (car ferry) and kitsaptransit website (fast ferry), as summer weekends fill up fast. We also recommend downloading the WSDOT app for real-time ferry updates and wait times.

If driving, we are about 1.5 hours - south through Tacoma then north up the Kitsap Peninsula via the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.
There is ample parking on the property for at least 3 cars.

FIFA WORLD CUP
For groups attending FIFA World Cup 2026, The Pearl works out to around $80–$120 per person per night depending on group size and match dates. This is less than a standard Seattle hotel room, with Puget Sound as your backyard.

Two ferry options from Kingston, both car-free friendly:
Option 1: Kitsap Transit Fast Ferry (recommended on match days)
Drive 20 minutes to Kingston Ferry Terminal. Take the Fast Ferry to downtown Seattle (40 minutes, passenger only). Short walk or ride to Lumen Field. Book return ferries in advance as they sell out on match days.

Option 2: Washington State Ferry to Edmonds
Drive 20 minutes to Kingston Ferry Terminal. Take the WSF car ferry or walk-on to Edmonds (30 minutes). Drive or transit to Lumen Field (allow 45–60 minutes). Better option if driving into Seattle for pre/post-match plans.

If driving to Seattle: parking at Lumen Field is limited. Search SpotHero Seattle to reserve in advance, or park and ride via Link Light Rail from Angle Lake, Tukwila, or Northgate stations.

Rideshare drop-off: King St & Occidental (north side) or Royal Brougham & Occidental (south side).

Just as described. Fantastic views of Whidbey Island. We enjoyed watching the various boats and ships every day. Easy access to so many places by either a short drive or ride on the ferry. Host was wonderful and quick to respond to our questions. Everything we needed was there and ready. We are looking forward to our next visit already.

The house was very comfortable, well-stocked & in a gorgeous setting overlooking the water! I also loved the privacy of the property. We had a mini-family reunion with 6 adults (2 local) and everyone loved the place. If we return to the area, we'd love to stay again!

I will start with the view. 10/10, absolutely magnificent. The beds are comfy, with good quality bedlinen. Check in process was easy and the host sent an email on our first day to check in with us and make sure everything was Ok. We had great weather when we first arrived, and the house was pretty warm, but we opened windows and doors, and it cooled down great. The 4th bedroom is on the top floor, rmthat was much warmer, we didnt use that bedroom.but if you come in the heat of the summer know that the 4th room will be warm.

All we expected and more. Great views. Lovely house. We relaxed, walked on the beach, watched boats come and go, saw beautiful sunsets, and felt refreshed. House had everything we needed; we cooked in and also ate at the Hansville Grill which has great sandwiches. Lots to do in the area, but our favorite is just walking on the beach.
