About this cottage rental

This superb, timber-clad barn conversion in a lovely rural setting near the charming village of Briston is perfect for a gathering of family or friends celebrating a special occasion or sharing a holiday. The luxurious, five-bedroom property sleeps ten guests and has a well-stocked shared games barn together with a children’s play area in the large, enclosed garden. Country walks and bike rides are on the doorstep and the delightful Georgian town of Holt is just 4 miles away. Sandy beaches in Sheringham (9 miles) and Wells-next-the-Sea (13 miles) are within easy reach.

The light and spacious interior of the single-storey barn is beautifully furnished in a contemporary style, with beautiful garden views from every window. Sliding doors in the airy open-plan living room/diner/kitchen space open onto the garden. Relax on comfortable sofas in front of the wood burner or curl up on the window seat in the kitchen area. There are five splendid, super-king-size bedrooms: these can all be converted into twin beds, and each one has its own sumptuous en-suite. Outside, a large patio houses wooden garden furniture, plus a BBQ and is enclosed with a glass balustrade overlooking a small lake.

Briston has village pubs and shops, and there are more in nearby Holt (4 miles). This pretty town is a lovely place for a browse, with a diverse range of art and antique galleries, along with cafes and restaurants serving fresh local produce. Nearby Holt Country Park offers glorious woodland walks, bike trails and treasure hunts. From Holt, take the Poppy Line heritage steam train railway to the Victorian seaside resort of Sheringham and enjoy a swim or a paddle. Walk the coast path, go crabbing on the quayside at Wells-next-the-Sea and take a boat trip for a wonderful close-up of the seal colony at Blakeney Point.
