This charming cottage, less than 3 miles from the North Cornish coast, is perfectly located to offer something for everyone: days on the beach, beautiful country walks, foodie destinations to explore and even a Japanese-style garden nearby. With space for couples or small families, plus canine companions, it boasts panoramic views, a patio where you can soak up summer sun, and a wood burner for cosy nights in.


You’ll enter this welcoming retreat into the bright and airy kitchen/diner, which has a cosy wood burner to keep you all toasty on chilly evenings. The kitchen, accented with elegant wood, has everything you need for food prep, including a coffee machine for whipping up your morning flat white (don’t forget your favourite ground coffee). A large window fills the space with natural light and shows off a view of the owner’s (unused) courtyard. A small step leads into the inviting sitting room, beautifully furnished with a comfortable sofa and armchair and a desk should you need to write postcards home or catch up on emails. Choose a book from the collection or unwind with a film after a day at the beach. There’s also a handy shower room with WC downstairs. Upstairs, the landing leads to two beautifully presented bedrooms, each with a cheerful colour scheme. The first bedroom has a king-size bed, while the second, with its cheerful yellow décor and colourful throws, can be arranged as a twin or a super-king to suit your needs. The delightful family bathroom features a walk-in shower and a freestanding bath.


From this tranquil spot, accessed via narrow, country lanes, you can be at Mawgan Porth beach in 2.5 miles. For dramatic views from one of the most picturesque sections of the South West Coast Path, Bedruthan Steps is 3.5 miles. Garden lovers will want to head to the incredible Japanese Garden in St Mawgan, 1.5 miles away, while Padstow, full of interesting shops and great places to eat, is 9 miles away.
