About this cottage rental
This countryside getaway for a family or group of friends is ideally located to explore the lovely local area. A wonderfully renovated holiday cottage, this home-away-from-home creates a warm welcome with the plush rug in front of the sofa and the outdoor bistro table.
Upon entering the cottage, you are welcomed into a light and bright open-plan kitchen, living and dining area. The room boasts a modern cooking area with all you could need to whip up a delicious meal and comfortable seating to watch and enjoy a movie on the Smart TV. This welcoming retreat is all on one level so you will also find three superbly appointed bedrooms with wet room en-suites, perfect for rejuvenating mornings. Two of the bedrooms are generous king-size rooms, whilst the third king-size room can be made up as twin beds on request. Outside, there is a shared courtyard to the front of the property which is set up with your own table and chairs.
Whilst staying in Great Waldingfield, you’ll be close to many great Wool Towns including Lavenham, Long Melford and Sudbury (all within 4 miles). Lavenham is one of the best-preserved medieval villages in England and is well worth a visit. It’s known for its splendid 15th-century timber-framed guildhall and there are plenty of cafes nearby to pick up some refreshments. If you find yourself in Long Melford, head to Nethergate Brewery which has a lovely bar with indoor and outdoor seating. The village of Great Waldingfield itself boasts a traditional village inn and a small convenience store.
