About this cottage rental
This luxurious coastal hideaway enjoys a prime position just over 300 metres from the golden sands of Shanklin Beach on the Isle of Wight. Sleeping six guests across three elegant bedrooms, the single-storey suite offers the perfect coastal base for families or groups of friends planning island adventures together. With the resort of Shanklin on your doorstep, make full use of the town’s traditional seaside amusements, gift shops and generous array of places to eat and drink. Spend days on the beach or explore the wider coastline with walks along the Isle of Wight Coastal Path (less than 0.5 miles) – walk to Ventnor (4.5 miles) in one direction and Sandown (2 miles) in the other. Other nearby days out include visits to Blackgang Chine, Carisbrooke Castle, and Wildheart Animal Sanctuary (all within 10 miles).
The home-away-from-home has its own private entrance at the front of the property. Follow the corridor to the far end to discover the impressive open-plan living space with its gorgeous parquet flooring and bi-fold doors opening onto the garden. This bright and airy space features a sleek kitchen in one corner where you’ll find everything needed for a self-catered stay – enjoy your meals at the circular dining table nearby or alfresco-style out in the garden. After days of adventure together, unwind in the lounge space, sinking into the soft seating opposite the Smart TV. When it’s time to retire for the night, choose from three restful double bedrooms all with Smart TVs for lazy mornings – two of which convert to twins on request. The master double boasts an en-suite shower room, while the other two make use of the well-appointed family bathroom.
Outside, the enclosed garden is a real suntrap. Unwind here after a day of exploring, reading your book on the built-in seating or reviving weary legs in the bubbling hot tub. You’ll also have access to a great range of shared facilities, such as a heated outdoor swimming pool, a sauna, gym, and cinema/games room. The property has private parking for two cars.
