About this cottage rental

Escape for a memorable getaway in this impressive property surrounded by the Norfolk countryside. The property, which welcomes up to 14 guests, sits within 3 acres of beautiful, mature gardens. You’ll be located on the edge of Coltishall – often referred to as the ‘Gateway to the Broads’ – and are less than 10 miles from the historic city of Norwich.

The red brick, detached country home is reached via a long, tree-lined driveway. Inside, the rural retreat carefully blends an array of period features with contemporary decor and design. The hub of the house is a striking, light-filled lounge/kitchen/diner. Cook in the farmhouse-style kitchen area, and dine at either the central island or around the dining table overlooking the garden. At the far end of the room is a cosy lounge with sumptuous sofas and a Smart TV, and you’ll also find a second lounge (with a Smart TV, plus a wood burner) and a snug on the ground floor. An elegant king-size bedroom and a handy utility room complete this level. The remaining six beautifully decorated bedrooms are upstairs, as well as two stylish bathrooms. Outside, a vast garden envelops the property, with south-facing, sweeping lawns, mature trees, and a choice of areas for relaxing. The raised patio, set under an oak gazebo, is the ideal spot for al fresco entertaining on a summer’s evening. The property has private parking for up to ten cars.

The village of Coltishall, along with neighbouring Horstead (1 mile), boasts shops, eateries, plus fishing on the River Bure. The staithe is just outside the village, where you can hire water sports equipment. The bustling ‘capital’ of the Broads – Wroxham – is 3 miles away for boat hire, while Bewilderwood Norfolk is 4 miles away.
