About this cottage rental
Set in the tranquil village of Carperby, this charming property has high ceilings, a welcoming wood burner and spacious rooms, making an airy, light-filled getaway near the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. With ample space for up to five guests, the cottage has been stylishly updated, tastefully furnished and decorated in fresh, neutral shades to provides a relaxing atmosphere for your holiday. Perfect for families, couples and friends, this cheery retreat is a wonderful base for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers exploring the area’s sparkling rivers, deep valleys and beautiful moorlands.
A step leads up into the cottage which has a welcoming lounge with a Smart TV, comfortable seating and a roaring wood burner, making a great space for everybody to get together and unwind after a fantastic day out. The airy kitchen/diner is perfect for cooking and sharing all your favourite family dishes. Heading up the stairs, the first floor offers a light and spacious bathroom and three beautiful bedrooms: a cheerful single, a sweet twin room with a Smart TV, and a relaxing king-size room also with a Smart TV. From the kitchen, a stable door leads down a step to the picturesque garden. Surrounded by a stone wall with a wrought-iron gate, the delightful south-facing garden has two separate seating areas offering open views over the dales, providing a lovely space to enjoy meals alfresco.
The small rural village of Carperby lies in the Richmondshire district of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, midway between the friendly market towns of Hawes (10 miles to the west) and Leyburn (8 miles to the east), both with a range of great pubs and shops. Local attractions and landmarks include Aysgarth Falls, the ruins of Richard III’s Middleham Castle, Harmby Waterfall, Bolton Castle and The Forbidden Corner, all within 10 miles.
