About this apartment rental
The suite has two bedrooms with a queen and a double bed, a full kitchen, and heated floors throughout, which make a big difference in the cooler months. It was updated in recent years with new flooring and a refreshed bathroom, so everything feels clean and well cared for without trying to be over the top.
Because it’s a walkout, it gets good natural light from larger windows and doesn’t feel like a typical basement space. There’s a separate private entrance, one parking spot, and access to an EV charger if needed. Laundry is shared, and there’s a small backyard area you can use, although it’s more functional than set up for outdoor lounging.
The location is one of the biggest advantages. You’re just a couple of minutes from Cowichan Bay for restaurants, pubs, and shops, about ten minutes into Duncan, and surrounded by wineries, trails, and beaches. It’s an easy place to settle in for a week or more and explore the valley at your own pace.
One thing to be aware of is that this is part of a home, so you’ll hear some normal daytime noise from upstairs from time to time. Most guests find it minor, but it’s worth mentioning so expectations are clear. There’s no air conditioning, but the space stays fairly comfortable thanks to its lower level and the coastal climate. If you’re looking for something clean, well-located, and easy to live in for a longer stay, this tends to be exactly that.
