Town: A pretty little village in the heart of Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire, the home of the legendary Robin Hood. The village boasts the church where, legend has it, Robin Hood and Maid Marian got married, and is an ideal location to explore local attractions such as Sherwood Forest with the famous Major Oak, Sherwood Pines with its excellent cycle routes and paths, and NT Clumber Park and Rufford Park and Abbey, with their beautiful grounds to explore. Edwinstowe is just two minutes from the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre and boasts a variety of shops and eateries, as well as a butcher's, baker's, newsagent and a supermarket. Just half an hour away from Edwinstowe are the delights of the Peak District, and Hardwick Hall is also within easy reach.
