About this house rental

Summary:

Creek water murmurs just beyond the meadow as you sip coffee on the patio of this redwood hideaway. This modern secluded forest sanctuary sleeps 4 with a gas fireplace and your own private redwood grove. Marimar Estate's vineyard tasting room is just 5 minutes away, The Barlow's food scene 10 minutes. After exploring Sebastopol's artsy downtown, return to your 6-acre hideaway where a footbridge leads to evening walks along the creek. The forest feels like it's all yours here.

The Space:

Spend mornings on the patio as the valley wakes up, afternoons among the tasting rooms or hiking Sugarloaf Ridge, and evenings around the firepit with a bottle from the day's barrel visits.

Beneath the vaulted ceiling, a leather sofa and burgundy recliner face the stone gas fireplace so the flames hold the room. Sliding glass doors open wide to the patio and pull greenery into your line of sight. Speckled granite tops the galley with a window above the sink framing the trees, and the antique dining table draws the group together for slow evenings.

OUTDOOR LIVING

Step onto the brick paver patio where a trestle dining table seats six beneath a blue market umbrella — mountain views stretching beyond the maintained lawn. The grounds give way to dense forest, and a wooden footbridge leads you through the trees to the creek. Wander to the far right of the back meadow and you'll discover Gabe's Grove, a secluded redwood circle with its own bench and picnic table. Fire up the gas grill as the forest comes alive with twilight sounds.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

The primary bedroom envelops you in calm — a dark wood bed frame with slatted headboard, matching dresser with TV, and a sliding glass door that opens directly to the outdoors. Light hardwood floors and neutral tones set the stage for restful sleep. The second bedroom serves as a private sleeping den with a comfortable futon that converts to a queen bed. House is very comfortable and well appointed. The property is stunning. The location is perfect...went from the Redwoods to the coast and back. This is my second stay here this year. Will definitely be back.

The lawn was not maintained so we couldn’t use the backyard. Most windows do not open so extremely hot. Could not get anyone to reply to my emailed concerns. The wifi is so slow can barely use it. The driveway is so steep it scared us every time we drove in. There is some kind of rehab center that shares the private road, didn’t feel safe.
