The Lanterns is a delightful garden apartment in the area of central Buxton in Derbyshire. The apartment sleeps four people with two bedrooms and a small shower room. The apartment also contains a kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with dining area and a woodburning stove. To the outside of the apartment is off-road parking for two cars and a patio and lawned area with furniture. Electric vehicle charging available at £30 for any stay up to a week. Type 2, 7kw untethered charging - please bring your own cable. Please mention when booking as owner will need to provide you with code to access charging. The Lanterns is situated in a central area with lots of different areas to visit if feeling adventurous. Note: Property only accepts one booking per week.
The Neighborhood:
t was the constant 28 degrees centigrade of the bubbling blue waters of Buxton's eight thermal springs that originally attracted the Romans to the town. However it was during the 18th and 19th centuries, under the patronage of successive Dukes of Devonshire, that Buxton of today was designed and built - including the magnificent semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens and The Opera House.
