Our agriturismo offers three elegantly renovated Tuscan cottages that are ideal for your relaxing yet inspiring holiday, located at an enjoyable 20 minute walk through beautiful heritage listed countryside from the centre of the hilltop town of Cortona. As our guest at Antica Quercia Verde you will experience the authentic Tuscan life in the most delightful natural environment, surrounded by our olive orchard that produces the best, multi award winning, organic extra virgin olive oil.
We invite you to appreciate the spectacular Tuscan countryside, relax at the swimming pool with panoramic views, and enjoy alfresco dining in the exclusive outdoor dining area included with each cottage, all whilst enjoying views of Cortona with its Etruscan walls and noble Renaissance churches. In Cortona, you will discover how artists, writers and saints found their inspiration wandering through this land. Situated half way between the serene and introspective Convent of Le Celle, founded by Saint Francis (20 minutes walking), and the Etruscan Tombs of Il Sodo (15 minutes walking), on the MAEC museum track facing Cortona’s town centre, Our retreat of humble artistic beauty is ideal for lovers of nature, trekking, mountain biking and many more outdoor activities.
Antica Quercia Verde, farm stay, is the perfect base for travellers wanting to explore Tuscany and Umbria. The towns of Montepulciano, Pienza, Arezzo, and Lake Trasimeno are less than 30 minutes away by car, while Florence, Perugia and Assisi are a simple day trip by train (approximately one hour) from the local station.
Il Gonfianuvole is a stylish Tuscan cottage, with stunning views over the valley and Cortona. Il Gonfianuvole, catering for four people (an additional bed can be added) has been elegantly refurbished to offer you a relaxing and inspiring holiday.
It features a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and dining area, an elegant Italian “stanza matrimoniale” - queen size bed, a double bedroom that can be transformed into a “matrimoniale” and a bathroom. This cottage is equipped with two outdoor areas, a relaxing area at the entrance, a stone barbecue, and a private detached gazebo where you can enjoy a good wine and have dinner al fresco with spectacular views over the valley and Cortona.
