About this apartment rental
Charm. Chic. Central.
Dimora Monacelle is a refined holiday apartment that harmoniously blends historic architecture, contemporary comfort, and a sophisticated lifestyle.
It is located in the heart of Ostuni’s charming historic center — the famous “White City” — just a few steps from the Cathedral.
Adjacent to the property stands the former convent complex of the Carmelite Sisters of Santa Maria Maddalena dei Pazzi, known as the “Monacelle,” featuring the elegant Baroque façade of the Church of San Vito Martire and its distinctive dome rising in the background. Our residence takes its name as a tribute to this fascinating historic ensemble.
Living with Character
Beyond its historic doors, an intimate and charming open space unfolds, where the contrast between old and new creates a unique atmosphere.
The suite has been carefully renovated and thoughtfully furnished with great attention to detail, offering an elegant and refined ambiance.
The highlight of the space is the impressive natural stone star-vaulted ceiling with its timeless architectural character, creating warmth and authenticity. The modern white kitchen area blends harmoniously with the refined interior design.
The high-quality bathroom features a spacious glass walk-in shower, atmospheric floor lighting, bidet, and custom-made cabinetry. Here too, the beautiful stone vault remains a distinctive architectural feature.
The suite is ideal for 2 guests and serves perfectly as a romantic hideaway in the heart of the city.
Bookable from 2 nights (except July and August))
An additional studio apartment owned by the same host is located on the ground floor of the building and will soon be available separately — ideal for friends traveling together.
Location & Surroundings
Dimora Monacelle is surrounded by the enchanting maze of narrow streets that make up the beautifully preserved historic center.
The historic Piazza della Libertà, with the Column of Sant’Oronzo dedicated to the city’s patron saint, is just a few minutes’ walk away.
Ostuni captivates visitors with its whitewashed old town overlooking centuries-old olive groves stretching toward the blue Adriatic Sea. The labyrinth of winding alleys recalls a Mediterranean kasbah. Numerous restaurants, cafés, and charming boutiques are within easy walking distance.
Especially during the summer months, you can fully experience the Southern Italian lifestyle: warm evenings on terraces, Mediterranean cuisine, and leisurely strolls through the picturesque, softly lit streets.
